A calm, comfortable space for planned clinical care, with individual GP assessment, experienced nursing support and attentive monitoring.
Planned Treatment Room Care | Walker Street Doctors
Calm, carefully coordinated care in a comfortable clinical setting
Some treatments are best provided in a clinical environment, with appropriate preparation, monitoring and follow-up.
At Walker Street Doctors, our GPs and registered nurses work together to provide planned treatment-room care following an individual medical assessment.
Our purpose-designed treatment room offers a quieter, more comfortable setting for appointments that may take a little longer. With reclining chairs, soft lighting, warm blankets and attentive nursing support, it is a calm place to receive the care your GP has recommended.
Care begins with an individual assessment
Treatment is never one-size-fits-all.
Before recommending a treatment plan, your GP will consider:
- your symptoms, diagnosis and medical history
- current medicines, allergies and previous reactions
- relevant examination findings and test results
- the potential benefits, limitations, risks and alternatives
- any preparation, monitoring or follow-up you may require
A consultation does not guarantee that a particular treatment will be recommended. Your GP will discuss the management options that are clinically appropriate for your individual circumstances.
What to expect
Once you and your GP have agreed on a treatment plan, our team will:
- Confirm the appropriate appointment and any preparation required.
- Review your treatment plan when you arrive.
- Complete the necessary identity, consent and safety checks.
- Monitor you throughout your appointment.
- Provide clear after-care advice and follow-up arrangements.
Appointment length varies according to the treatment and your individual needs. Our reception team will confirm the practical details once your treatment plan has been established.
A calmer place for planned care
Our treatment room has been designed to feel calm rather than hurried or overly clinical.
You are welcome to bring headphones, a book or something to work on during your appointment. Our nursing team will explain each step and remain available throughout your care.
