Elevated, collaborative care for every stage of life
Dr Michela Sorensen offers thoughtful, relationship-based care with a strong focus on collaboration, prevention and whole-person wellbeing. She is passionate about helping patients feel informed, empowered and actively involved in decisions about their health.
Growing up in rural Australia gave her an early appreciation of the importance of accessible, high-quality healthcare. That experience continues to shape her practice today: calm, practical and patient-centred.
Dr Sorensen brings broad experience across general practice, hospital medicine and international health, including work in the Eastern Suburbs, Royal North Shore Hospital, Alice Springs Family Medical Centre and volunteer work in Uganda.
Her clinical interests include preventative health, children’s health and developmental assessments, women’s health, antenatal shared care, Implanon procedures, and mental health care. She is particularly drawn to care that supports long-term wellness, respects the individual, and recognises the connection between physical health, mental health and everyday life.
As a mother of young children, she understands the realities of busy family life and values care that is both thorough, achievable and punctual. Patients appreciate her warm, open-minded style and her commitment to shared decision making, clear communication and genuine partnership in care.
Outside work, she enjoys cooking, yoga and long walks with her family and their much-loved dog.
