Hiba completed her medical studies at Bond University in 2014 as class valedictorian and was the recipient of the University Gold Medal in Medicine. Since then, she completed her internship and residency at Gold Coast University Hospital, which included secondments to rural hospitals sparking her keen interest in general practice. In 2018, she was awarded the Monty Kent Hughes Memorial Award for achieving the highest score in Australia in the clinical component of the Royal Australian College of GP (RACGP) fellowship exams, in addition to the Maureen Duke and Marian Sullivan Memorial Award, for the highest scoring registrar in Queensland. 

Hiba truly enjoys the diversity of general practice, however has a particular interest in women’s health, antenatal/obstetric care, children’s and adolescent health and preventative medicine.
